Hotel Fado Spa & Restaurant

I can only speak to the dining, since I didn’t stay at the hotel, but it was a five-star experience. The appetizers, main dishes, and dessert were all really tasty and beautifully presented. I also appreciated the wide choice of wines, including Polish regional ones.

The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were great. We’d been looking for somewhere nice to eat in town, but everywhere was full, so we ended up here by chance. It was empty, which usually isn’t a good sign, but the menu looked lovely and they had pizza, so we stayed. The service was incredibly professional and the food blew us away. My tartare starter was delicious, my partner’s filet mignon was divine, and the pork tenderloin was done so well we were in shock. We eat out regularly and love good food, but neither of us could think of anything that would have made dinner better. People should come to this hotel for the food. You’re missing out. It’s divine.

On my third visit, I noticed a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom in my room and was ready to give fewer stars than before. I told the receptionist, who said she’d come check. She arrived in 10 minutes and called a plumber. The issue was easy to fix, and after an hour the air was fine again, so I left the four stars as before. On my fourth visit, I was absolutely satisfied. My earlier impression was that it was quite a nice place, with clean rooms, good overall service, and a very good restaurant.

We spent five nights at Fado after our wedding and really enjoyed the stay. Everyone was helpful and always served us with a smile, from the cleaning ladies and hotel bar and restaurant staff to reception. We enjoyed the pool and steam room, and the spa treatment was arranged for us very easily. The shower in the room could use improvement, but it’s a small complaint. We’ll definitely be back.
