Villa Vital

The worn mattress and creaky bed were a letdown. Every small movement made noise, which cut into how rested we felt, and almost erased the benefits of the massage. New mattresses would be a good investment, though maybe the beds in other rooms are better. Otherwise, our room was very good, and the bathroom was modern and clean. We loved the villa's tasteful style and idyllic setting. Coming in after a winter walk to the sound of the crackling fireplace really felt like being on vacation. The food and drinks were just as thoughtfully done. Restaurant service was excellent, and Shifat made delicious cocktails to our personal requests. The Thai food was first-class, and the regional dishes were just as good. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, and we could communicate easily in English and German. The parking lot was monitored, and during heavy snowfall it was cleared right away, so excursions into the beautiful surroundings could go ahead. Physiotherapist Adam did a fantastic job. The treatments were effective and felt professional, not just pampering. A visit to Villa Vital, even just for the restaurant, comes highly recommended.

VILLA VITAL is comfortable, with clean bathrooms, high-standard rooms, and modern decor. The fireplace part of the complex is the one I recommend. The staff are friendly, and the chef runs a fantastic kitchen with traditional Polish dishes and more.

We had a very bad experience and won't stay there again. The first room offered, number 3, was on the ground floor, with its windows looking straight onto tables and chairs where people sit. Anyone there could see exactly what we were doing inside. Staff suggested closing the curtains, but there weren't any, so we'd have had to sit in the dark. After an unpleasant exchange, they moved us to an upstairs room, but only after I asked to speak with the owner. The staff seemed focused on German guests and treated Poles like a necessary nuisance. They spoke German to each other right in front of us, so if you don't speak it, you can't tell whether they're talking about you or something else. After the room dispute, they ignored us completely. If you want to feel uncomfortable in your own country, I recommend Villa Vital in Świeradów.

The food was really, really good, and breakfast was generous too. They also prepared extras when asked. The location is quiet but still central, and service was good. Unfortunately, communication wasn't really possible in either German or English. Physiotherapy treatments are available at the hotel. I can't agree with another reviewer's description: the massage wasn't a gentle pampering session at all, it was carried out competently and professionally.
