Great hotel.

The kitchens were the nicest part for me. The women working there were wonderful, worked hard, and always had a smile. The rolls and cookies you could buy were delicious, still warm. I don't fully agree with the earlier reviews about the rooms. I thought they were good, the doubles were spacious enough for four, some had balconies, and the bathrooms were fine. The problem was there was one person short. During my holiday stay, the patients were lucky: there were few married couples, and most, maybe all, had double rooms. I didn't meet any of the three, at least. At first there were situations like that, but in the end those patients were moved into double rooms. People who needed single occupancy were put into so-called 1+1 studios, but they were walk-through rooms. To leave or get to the bathroom, you had to pass through the neighbor's room. I stayed in one. It had two beds, but only one person ended up staying there. I can't imagine two people living in it. Only one room had a small wardrobe, and whoever got that room first got the wardrobe. The other person had to keep their things on the spare bed. A disgrace. The nurse, probably the ward nurse, left the worst impression on me. She seemed to be in conflict with most of the staff and was rude, repeatedly making excuses that she shouted because she was deaf. The doctor also got very poor reviews. Given her age, she should have retired long ago, and she seemed to give treatments at random without taking patients' suggestions into account.

The nurses and physiotherapists made the biggest difference for us. They were patient, caring, and clearly committed to helping people recover. The meals were decent, with plenty to eat, the cafeteria staff were friendly, and the Wi-Fi worked well for streaming and keeping in touch. We spent three weeks at Admirał 1 through the National Health Fund (NFZ). The rumors about affairs and parties never turned into any trouble for us. It was peaceful, and nothing was stolen. The treatment schedule was set after a doctor consultation, but getting to the different therapy facilities meant walking several times a day on icy sidewalks. Świnoujście seemed to pay no attention to the safety of tourists and spa guests in those conditions. Room cleaning was another frustration. The sheets weren't changed, and the towels were replaced just once during the whole stay. There were also a lot of extra costs despite the NFZ funding: the resort tax was at the maximum statutory rate, parking was about 450 PLN, a TV around 150 PLN, and a kettle about 50 PLN. The manager said unauthorized equipment wasn't allowed, so bringing our own kettle was out of the question. Charging phones or laptops was also supposedly prohibited, though the spa turned a blind eye. The double room with bathroom was expensive too. My wife and I paid almost 2,000 PLN altogether in fees for the stay, which could be a lot for retirees. We did come home feeling better, and the staff were the reason the stay didn't feel wasted. But the icy walks and all those charges made parts of it genuinely unpleasant.

The restaurant staff were so kind and helpful, and the manager was understanding, warm, and accommodating. My heartfelt thanks to them all, and please forgive me, but some of the complaints I read about the bar meals and resort fee left me speechless. People should find out what a spa stay involves. This isn't a five-star hotel with service around the clock, and anyone can always move to the Hilton. Thanks again to the staff, and thanks for the fried eggs too. ❤️❤️❤️ Ewa.
