The restaurant staff were really friendly, the food was very good, and the beach and Promenade are about a 10-minute walk away. We had a good Christmas stay with our family group of 10, but finding space in the bar or eating together was difficult. It would work better for a couple or a group of four. We were in the building without restaurants, so we had to go to the residenz building for breakfast and dinner. My parents both have walking disabilities, and getting between the buildings was very difficult for them. If you have a disability, make sure you’re in the building with the restaurants. Otherwise, this hotel isn’t for you if you’re disabled. There are two spa receptions, one in the main building and one in the residenz. To book the Salz Grotto, you have to return to the main building and make the appointment at the spa reception there. I don’t understand why the reception by the Grotto can’t take the booking.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the pool and sauna were included in the price. The location was very good too, within walking distance of the train station, city centre, and beach. Only one sauna was working while I was there, and lots of people wore swimsuits in it. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

We had plenty of parking available for a fee, which was convenient, and didn’t need to look for another lot during our stay. The beach and the town’s restaurant areas are both easy to reach on foot, and there’s a nice restaurant, Weranda, right beside the hotel. It’s in a great spot in a quiet park, and the hotel has an interesting history. Our room was spacious enough, with a nice balcony. The floor was a little sandy, probably from guests coming back from the beach, but the rest was clean. The main problem was the Wi-Fi. We could only get a signal on the balcony, and even there it was very weak. Our mobile internet coverage was poor too, which was annoying, especially for the kids.

We had some lovely, relaxing days at the hotel-spa. The food was good, the people were kind, and the location was good. I don’t understand why it isn’t rated at least four stars. I’d recommend a holiday here to friends and family.

The rooms were superb, the food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent in this beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. I had a small problem, and Marcin, one of the managers, took care of it. He was superb, professional and polite, and speaks excellent English.
