Tryton

I was thinking of booking, but these reviews about the conditions have put me off. I can't understand why people stay somewhere like that and only complain instead of reporting it. I'm definitely not booking now.

The towels and bedding were the only things I could call clean. The lift gets a plus for being quiet and working properly, and the place is close to the beach and sea, but the room and bathroom were appallingly unhygienic. Dust and dirt were everywhere: the window, curtains, and sheers were filthy, wrinkled, and hanging sadly from just a few hooks. The bathroom fixtures were very dirty, the toilet wobbled, and there was a thick layer of dust on the radiator and lamp. The sink had no stopper, and the drain smelled awful. The shower stall was terrible. The room decor felt stuck in the PRL era, which I could have put up with if it weren't for that awful grime. Does Sanepid inspect places like this? The standard is very low for the price.

Tryton sits right on the promenade, and you can rent a sunbed for 10 złoty for the day. We had plenty of sunshine, though there's a lot to do in the city even if the weather turns cooler. I recommend Wybrzeże bis's trips to Berlin-Potsdam and Copenhagen-Malmo. Before going, I'd read reviews that made Tryton Holiday Home sound like somewhere to avoid. I was used to private trips and expected the worst, but after a few days there as a patient on National Health Fund (NFZ) benefits, I found those reviews exaggerated. If you're paying privately, you'll probably pick somewhere better, such as the nearby Nat Rybniczanka Hotel, where I once had a buffet breakfast during an earlier visit to Świnoujście. At Tryton, meals are served at the neighboring Bursztyn, and treatments are at Rusałka. They're so close that the extra walk is pleasant and good for you. I could rearrange my treatment times to finish by lunchtime without rushing between them. The hotel and medical staff were excellent. If an unexpected issue comes up in a triple room, management will sort it out. My room was cleaned daily. It came with a TV, kettle, glasses, plates, and cutlery at no extra charge. You can rent an iron and hairdryer, and although towels are changed once per stay, I got fresh ones after a week without any trouble. Tryton is well worth considering. I hope future guests have a pleasant stay, and send warm regards to the hotel staff.

The one drawback was disco music from the promenade, sometimes going on until midnight. Otherwise, everything was in order. I was surprised by the negative reviews: my room was clean, had what I needed, and could be cleaned on request. There's lovely art in the gallery downstairs and in the rooms, and you can tell guests are looked after.
