Villa Rezydent

What really brought down my rating was how hard it was to sleep before 3 a.m. The soundproofing is very poor inside and outside the building. Music from somewhere along the promenade played every evening until around 2 or 3, and I struggled to fall asleep and woke often. Bad sleep is the worst. The room was clean when we arrived. They offered daily room and bed linen cleaning if wanted, though our towel wasn't changed during our four nights. The furniture felt old, and those huge, odd pillows made sleeping uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning, and half the rooms get evening sun, which I find unacceptable. The location is good, close to the sea and with the promenade stretching in both directions. Staff were very friendly. There's a pool, a sauna that needs to be booked in advance, and a very small gym. Wifi wasn't great, but fine for browsing. We had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast usually meant three kinds of eggs, sausages, lots of sausage and cheese slices, hardly any fresh salad, two or three desserts, two juices, and lemon water. Dinner had one or two meats and side dishes, two soups, salads, and more sausage and cheese slices. A lot of what was left from breakfast or lunch was served again at dinner. By day three breakfast was getting repetitive, while dinner was better.
