MARGI Gaja Apartament

A pleasant spot downtown, close to all the action.

Great experience, and the location couldn't be better.

Wow!

The central spot is a real advantage. We could quickly get to the big shopping centers, restaurants, and good bakeries, and parking was available for 39 PLN a night. We spent two nights here, though the parking space we were assigned was taken, and after two tries I reached the hostess, who told us to use another one. The spaces are very tight. There had already been trouble arranging payment for the underground garage before our stay, and the host never contacted me, leaving me to sort it out myself. Getting help was difficult throughout. The garage key wasn't where agreed, and after three unanswered calls I had to spend ages looking for it. Its battery later died. I was told on Facebook that a replacement would be sent, but the hostess didn't show up; instead, she suggested opening the garage from inside, which meant a long detour. Near the end, I was indirectly accused more than once of taking the key home, although I had put it back in the wardrobe where I found it. I found the hostess unreliable, hard to reach, disorganized, and not especially friendly. She seemed not to care. The apartment itself was average and could have been cleaner. Its furnishings were dated, particularly the worn, dirty bed. The cookware was poor, and the only pan was damaged. One window was broken and wouldn't tilt open. It was also quite cold because the heating couldn't be adjusted. I can't tell whether it was broken or the host had disabled it, but heating seems to have caused problems before, judging by Expedia reviews. Trying to raise this with the host felt pointless. The price is too high for what you get, and I can't recommend staying here. I haven't had an experience like this in Szczecin, which is a real shame.
