Radisson Hotel Szklarska Poręba

We went for a birthday and got a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a lovely view. Parking was available whenever we needed it, and the team were really friendly. The wellness area was great, and I recommend the massages too. One small downside, the road in was a bit bumpy. 😇🥰🚘

The welcome snacks in the room were a nice touch, and the 15% F&B discount worked surprisingly well. We also got a special breakfast offer on our second morning, which was nice, though I don't understand why it wasn't offered from the start. The rest felt poorly managed. At check-in, there was a Radisson Rewards member desk for VIP members, but the receptionist ignored me even after we made eye contact. I was also charged for parking, which has never happened to me as a VIP at Radisson, especially when we already spend a lot at your hotels. We had a specific question about dinner and were told to find the F&B manager. When we couldn't, we asked a waiter, but he insisted we speak with him and couldn't resolve it. The F&B manager saw what was happening and spoke to the waiter in Polish, but didn't step in to solve the issue. The next day, ordering dessert at the half-empty lobby bar was a struggle too. When we went to pay, the F&B manager had been on her phone and seemed annoyed to handle the payment. The wellness area had no towels for guests, and we were told we couldn't take towels from our room, so bring your own. It's also so small that finding a place to sit feels like a 5% chance. I understand that full capacity may have ruled out an upgrade, but it was disappointing not to get the mountain-view room I requested either.

The main issue was how excluded we felt. Dogs weren't allowed in most shared areas, including the breakfast room, restaurant, or bar. I understand keeping them out of the spa and pool, but not being able to bring my dog to breakfast, which I was paying for, was disappointing. I came away feeling that the hotel collects a pet fee without really wanting dogs around. I don't mind paying extra to bring my dog, since I understand the added cleaning costs. But I do expect to feel welcome and have a similar experience to other guests. A dog-friendly setup could include a section in the breakfast area, clearer information in advance, or even water bowls. Without things like that, the label feels misleading and more like a way to make extra money than a real effort to welcome people traveling with dogs. So if you're bringing a dog, keep in mind they're technically allowed, but the stay may not feel as dog-friendly as the hotel advertises.

We keep coming back to Radisson Hotel in Szklarska Poręba, and the staff always make the stay feel personal. They remember preferences like the floor we ask for, when possible, and handle requests with care. Once, they even prepared the room thoughtfully for a surprise birthday celebration. The setting is quiet and scenic, and works well as a base for exploring the area. Restaurant service has stood out too, especially when we had difficult dietary requirements. The staff stayed flexible and did their best to accommodate them. It's always a pleasure to return, with a warm atmosphere and consistently good service.
