Agnieszka at reception was very kind and helpful, and the quiet up here really sets the place apart from the buildings in central Szklarska Poręba. There are three cottages in the highest part of Szklarska Poręba. Each has two levels and can sleep nine altogether, with four beds downstairs and five upstairs. The floors have separate entrances but are linked by indoor stairs. Since the cottages sit on a slope, getting there from the parking area means using a run of slightly sloped steps or paths. Inside, there's a full set of kitchen appliances, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a living room with a sofa bed, and a separate room with two single beds. Outside there is a little soccer field, trampoline, small pool (3m across and 0.5m deep), and a wooden play area with a sandbox. There's also a firepit and barbecue spot, plus a small pond. A great place to get away from the city's bustle.

We rented the whole cottage for six adults, three children and a dog, and it worked really well for a family break. The fenced area has plenty for kids, including a soccer field, trampoline, playground and other attractions. There’s a bonfire spot and a fully equipped grill, with charcoal, trays and cutlery ready to use. The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped. The area is great for walks in the Jizera Mountains and around nearby Wysoki Kamień, as well as road or MTB rides, with lots of trails around. The town center is about 2 km away, so walking there saves the trouble of parking. A well-stocked grocery store is nearby.
