The staff were really friendly, and I appreciated how comfortable the bed was during my two-night stay. Still, the shared balcony, used by three rooms, doesn’t offer much privacy. The balcony door is fine for airing out the room, but the blinds don’t do the job, so leaving it open makes you feel exposed since people can easily see inside. I also found insects in the bathroom, including a large spider. I can understand that a hillside location may bring some of them in, but basic repellents would help. Sound carries badly too, and I could hear conversations and movement from the neighboring rooms. A few adjustments would make the stay much more comfortable and enjoyable.

I picked this place mainly because the mountain route starts so close by, which was a big plus for me. Our room looked out toward the mountains, and room 33 is worth asking for if it’s available. It was clean throughout, including the bathroom, and the whole house felt cozy and pleasant. The owners are lovely, and their quiet-hours request after 22:00 meant we could relax and sleep. I’d happily come back at the first chance and definitely recommend it.
