Zającówka

We had a six-person room with one double bed and four single beds, no sofas. It was clean, with fresh towels for everyone, a clean shower and decent water pressure. The floor was clean too, and there was no bad smell. The shared kitchen had basic utensils and a kettle, but no cooking panel. The staff were very kind and let us leave our things for a few hours after checkout.

We had come looking for a quiet weekend, but instead found a guesthouse full of noise and chaos. The place was booked for a school trip, with children aged 8 to 12 shouting, running and jumping around. No one had warned us that this was happening, or that schools were the main guests around that time. The last room not occupied by the school group was still available to book. When we called the owner to ask her to cancel our already paid reservation so we could move somewhere quieter, she said to call the police if it got too loud. I'll leave her other words unsaid, but that is no way to run this kind of business. On top of that, a tire repair shop has opened right by the entrance. I expect the quiet advertised on the guesthouse website will be gone for a long time, at least until the owner or owners change how they treat guests. This used to be a wonderful place, and my wife and I happily returned every year for a family holiday. The old charm disappeared after the name changed from "Zającówek." As usual, we'd booked a weekend break, and ended up with an experience that made us wonder why we'd come back.

The breakfast spread was broad, and the baked oscypek cheese was a lovely surprise. I'd recommend trying it. Rooms are cozy, clean and standard, and the hotel is in a curious spot, off the main track but still close to the city center. A great place to stay.

The dining room has extra comfortable seats and a piano, so we could play and sing without disturbing anyone. Getting there was easy, parking was free, and the hotel sits in the city center while still feeling a little tucked away. Our hosts are big-hearted and help raise money so children can have a fun, memorable vacation. We were glad to contribute a little. Thank you for looking after us! Mr. Wojtek is wonderful and witty 😎. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the rooms cozy and comfortable. Everything felt warm and welcoming. The food was DELICIOUS, just like home! ❤️
