Paa Ac Wiechlice

Loved the people, the food, and the beer 🍺. It’s a cool hotel with a spa and swimming pool, plus open gardens and a super atmosphere.

The hotel was suggested by my friend’s grandmother for a family dinner. I’m not really into palaces, so it wasn’t my kind of place. But if you like historic buildings and palace architecture, it could be a great place to stay. I liked the service. I was told some staff speak German better than English and cater to German customers, while others speak English, so it depends who you meet at check-in. Breakfast is served buffet style in the morning. They prefer payment when you leave rather than when you arrive, saying it helps them keep accurate records. It’s quite far from any big city, in my opinion, and the nearest town, Szprotawa, didn’t have much to do. The property is big, with a wine yard and a small body of water behind the gardens. The sign says Beach, but it’s really more like a small lake. The swimming pool was being repaired during our stay, so we couldn’t use it.

The buffet was amazing, with lots of vegetarian choices, and I’d definitely come back. I stayed for two nights in this huge palace with lots of facilities. The rooms were wonderful, the beds were perfect, and the toilets were clean. Sometimes the AC didn’t work, but there was a heater. Sadly, the swimming pool was closed.
