Hotel nad Wisłą

We came across this riverside restaurant during a road trip and were glad we stopped. The food was excellent and portions were generous. Adam was a very pleasant server. Try the steak on the lava rock. I’d definitely recommend it.

The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and the stay exceeded every expectation. We travelled all the way from Romania and don’t regret a moment of it. We’d happily come back for a stay at least once a year.

The mattresses were yellow and badly stained beneath the sheets, with what looked like urine, blood, vomit, decomposition, and other disgusting bodily fluids. We’d booked a large room with a big window and a river view, as shown in the listing, but were given a much smaller room with a little window and barely any view beyond the roof. Don’t book.

The other dishes on the menu are very good too. I’ve tried them all. I still recommend the place, but the steak has one frustrating issue: they don’t account for the extra 4-5 minutes it takes to reach the table. I order medium rare, but if the kitchen cooks it to that point before sending it out, it can end up well done by the time I get it. They need to serve it a stage or two less cooked. I come here now and then when I want good quality beef, and the lava stone meat really is good. The wine selection is limited if you want less than a full bottle, especially for pairing with steak.
