This hotel seems to have lost something over time. When I booked, the pictures of the castle-like windows and garden impressed me so much that on arrival I wondered if I'd got the address wrong. Inside, though, it's huge, with wide corridors and high ceilings. The rooms still use ordinary keys instead of cards, and the old-fashioned feel took me back to the Renaissance. Fine for one night.

We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early, so didn't get to experience much. The building doesn't seem especially old, yet the hallways, shared areas and rooms are all spacious, unlike many modern hotels. Marble floors cover the corridors and reception. It felt like it could work well for bigger events, such as weddings.

Basic and cheap, but clean and quiet. Breakfast had a good range of options. One of the three days our room hadn't been made up, and it was missing a few things, like a bin, bedside lamp, pen and tissues.

A nice hotel with very kind staff. I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to come back.

The bar has very little to choose from, and the dark hallways don’t help. Breakfast was poor in both quality and selection. My room wasn’t cleaned, and there weren’t enough electrical outlets in convenient spots. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a business traveler.
