Apartamenty PORTOWE

The room looked beautiful at first, but that impression disappeared almost immediately. It was falling apart and seemed uncared for, with a cigarette smell and no way to air it out. We were told at check-in that the decoder was malfunctioning and the TV wouldn't work. Since we were there for just one night, we let it go, but the room also had a radio that didn't work. The furniture was scuffed and had been clumsily painted, the cabinets were coming apart and some wouldn't shut, and the floorboards were crumbling. There was almost no view, just a filthy awning, though the view was mostly blocked by blinds that were dirty, inoperable, and mostly couldn't be opened. It was generally dirty, and the chairs were literally sticky. Only the location and relatively low price saved our one-night stay. If I'd been there longer with my family, it would have been disappointing, especially since there is no cancellation option when booking. I strongly don't recommend it. The room has potential if someone would just take care of it.

The hallway smelled awful, and there was dirt everywhere. The bathroom had no light, and there was no parking. The quilts and pillows didn’t seem to have been washed. I wouldn’t recommend this at all, especially for a family with small children.

The one good thing about Portowe apartments is the spot, right by the sea and main square. The apartment we got was dirty, though, and nothing like the photos on booking.com, which looked like a different room, perhaps even somewhere else. The cups and dishes were filthy, and it looked as if someone had spent ten minutes hastily wiping things down. The bathroom radiator was disgusting, as was the rest of the place. The frying pan was so scratched it seemed frightening to use, and the wardrobe and other furniture looked ready to fall apart. The bedding didn’t appear to have been washed, perhaps only soaked, and under the sheet was a horribly dirty yellow mattress. I strongly advise against staying here. It’s a waste of time and money.

The building had a musty smell throughout, and the apartment was untidy, with unwashed sheets and dirty towels. The triple room I booked was perhaps 10 square meters, so the conditions weren’t comfortable. If you’re arriving by car, finding a nearby parking spot is difficult, and parking isn’t included in the room rate. It was a negative experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
