The facility is not accessible for wheelchair users. The ground-level lift is outside, so you have to go outdoors to reach the dining room and get wet if it rains. There are no changing rooms, and there’s no reception. The rooms are small, with no bedside tables or wall light for the room. The kettle is plugged into an extension cord, there are no outlets positioned for a wheelchair user, and the mirror is unsuitable. A man can’t shave. The shower is inaccessible for the 163 cm attendant, and the toilet is so low that the wheelchair user falls off. There’s no dietitian. The food portions are very small and the food allowance is low. A dietitian gets a vegetable salad with peas and corn but no mayonnaise, and sorrel soup. Breakfast is buffet style, with pickled ham and a different variety each day, fresh cucumber slices, two kinds of yellow cheese, tomato wedges, bread, two types of bread, and, nearly forgotten, cornflakes and cocoa nibs for milk soup, Inka coffee, and fruit tea or Minute Zypa for dinner. The food is delicious, credit to the cook. Dinner includes semolina with juice, bread, two small slices of ham and yellow cheese, a very thick spoonful of Breton beans, one egg spread, two cottage cheese spreads, and two cheese spreads. There’s no cultural program, though there is a boat trip, two DJ evenings, and a cart ride around the city. Mrs. Jola is the person most dedicated to participants’ well-being. She leads morning exercises and selects suitable treatments. The center should be converted for small children, since it has a play area. The director wouldn’t give a daily rate and said there is only a session rate. What is it? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CENTER.

Update: the rooms have since been renovated, and the creaky floors are gone. During my two-week stay, I found the room pleasant and the beds comfortable. The location was good, next to a forest and close to the sea, and the resort arranged an unforgettable boat cruise along with other attractions. The treatments were pleasant, and the massage chair was the most relaxing and calming. Before the renovation, the floors creaked, which was the only downside.

The apartment could really use some renovation, especially the floors, toilet, and leaking taps. There’s no restroom on the ground floor where the treatment room is. The physiotherapists were very nice and helpful, and the center manager was approachable and friendly.

I’m passing on my mother’s account of her two-week stay. In her words, it was the worst facility she had ever seen. The place wasn’t at all like the website: one side of the building has an external lift, but on the other two sides you have to carry your luggage upstairs, while the pompous owner makes snide comments that the suitcases are too big. It was a complete disaster. The entrance hallway is narrow, and the reception is just a small window, leaving three people cramped together. The rooms feel like they’re from the 1980s, with tight space and unsanded, creaky floors. Cleaning only reaches the edges, and the shelves are dusty. There’s a smell of age and mold, and the hallway bathroom clearly hasn’t been renovated for a long time. Outside the window is a dovecote and henhouse that stink, making it feel more like an agritourism farm than a rehabilitation center. Treatments happen in a cramped room. Kind Mrs. Jola does her best to keep people happy, but the conditions are terrible. There’s no doctor at all; treatments are prescribed by a rehabilitation specialist. The owner came across as unpleasant and pompous, caring about money rather than guests’ well-being. If you want to relax somewhere civilized with friendly, helpful staff, stay away. This place isn’t suitable for rehabilitation retreats.

The manager is nowhere to be seen, and it feels like disabled people are being exploited while everyone hopes no one will step in. The center has no ground-floor restroom or entertainment, the food is terrible, and there’s no dietary option. Every day it’s two slices of greenhouse cucumber or a piece of tomato, along with two slices of yellow cheese or cold cuts. The cold cuts are always canned and so thin you could see the Grand Lubicz Hotel through them. Everything is tasteless and repetitive. This center is a complete mess. Best to avoid it, and if you’ve already stayed there, report the poor service to the National Health Fund.
