A flawless win. Superb.

Great.

The one bright spot was the maintenance man, who fixed the broken shower cubicle straight away after we told him about it. The rest of the stay was a long list of problems, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We were three in one room. On arrival the receptionist was rude, told us to park in a space too small for our Tiguan, then spoke even more sharply while moving us to another room. The room we eventually got was small but adequate. The third bed was an armchair that we had to unfold and make up ourselves. Over our six days, one bed was made only twice, the armchair wasn't touched, and the carpet was still gritty after some of it was cleaned. The food wasn't very good, with the same selection each day. The meat was okay, but there wasn't enough of it, or of anything else, and the meals weren't suitable for children. Breakfast was the only time there was really anything to eat, and even then it was dry cake left from the night before. When the sesame rolls ran out, we asked for fresh ones and were curtly told they took a long time to make. Dinner was only served from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and anything that ran out was usually not replaced. If you came at 5:00 pm and weren't hungry yet, tough luck. Staff simply pushed their way in when checking whether food was left, without asking or returning our greetings. The staff were generally unfriendly, especially on checkout. They told us there was an outstanding bill. We could pay part by card, but the tourist tax had to be cash, even though it was the dead of winter. We didn't have złoty since we'd paid everything by card. The receptionist then said euros were accepted. The tax came to €13.20; we first had only a €50 note, and she said she couldn't give change, so she kept €40. Luckily, I found another €10. You have to be pretty brazen to handle it that way. It had rained hard overnight, and the parking lot mirror was icy. I accidentally drove onto it while loading my luggage, but luckily nothing happened. When we told the receptionist, she just said it was winter without flinching. Sand from earlier in the week had frozen two days before, and nobody seemed to care. There were many elderly guests who could seriously hurt themselves in the parking lot, but the staff appeared unconcerned. Otherwise, stay away. This hotel cares about profit, not its guests.

Everything was truly excellent, and we'll definitely come back next year. The food was delicious, with plenty of options and generous portions. The hotel is clean, with friendly staff, and sits beautifully in the woods very close to the Baltic Sea.
