Witalna Osada Helonowo

The smell from the toilet was the worst part of our stay. It was like a septic tank, and we spent more than two hours airing out the room. The owner said it was sulfurous water, but that wasn't it. The water did smell strongly, though that itself didn't bother us. When we were offered another room, it was an even bigger cubicle with a more dented mattress. We gave up after one sleepless night and left exhausted and disgusted at dawn. The owner refused a refund because he'd offered us another room. We booked this as a gift for my husband, and I was embarrassed to have given it to him. The cottages and rooms looked like they needed a full renovation, with no work done in about 20 years. In the double room there was only one armchair, no wardrobe, and hardly any space. The blinds were covered in insects, and the ice cream and wine promised with the voucher never arrived in the room, though that was the least of our worries. The rooms had no soundproofing. For half the night we could hear guests partying in another room and repeatedly using the bathroom. Their bathroom was in the hallway, next to ours. The jacuzzi and Russian bath were only available at the neighboring property. At Helenów, they were infested with insects. I can't say whether that's always the case or whether it happened this time because the owner was away and reachable only by phone. Reviews can be bought, judging by all the positive ones. But putting guests in conditions like these will eventually lead someone to tell the truth, as some comments already show.

We spent a wonderful Christmas with the family in a magical place. The houses were beautiful and well equipped, and the host was great. We’re already looking forward to coming back next Christmas ❤️

A weekend here with my friend and our dog was just what we wanted. It's tucked into lovely green surroundings, peaceful and close to nature, a real break from everyday life. The food was homemade and delicious, and the service was so friendly. The calm, warm feel of the place made it easy to relax. We'd definitely come back 💚

You can really switch off here, partly because there's no phone signal. It gave us a chance to get away from the internet and focus on nature and the moment. The cottages are comfortable, clean, and full of atmosphere, with peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery all around. There are great bike trails too, and the owners are wonderful. Helonowo is a lovely place to unwind in the Bieszczady Mountains. We'll be back! 🌲🏡✨
