The restaurant has a really nice look, and breakfast was great. The rooms also surprised me: they’re lovely, and you can still smell the fresh wood, which makes the new beds noticeable. The woman running the place is doing an incredible job.

We only stopped in for food and drinks, not an overnight stay, but the place had a lively feel. I had tea with fruit compote, fresh orange, and lemon, and it tasted amazing. The food and drinks were great too.

A very basic hostel, and the low nightly price reflects that. There’s no kitchen, just a small communal fridge on the gear. In the six-bed dorm I found only two sockets. The bed may not come with bedding, so bring your own sheets or a sleeping bag. The tap water smells and tastes odd, and the showers had no hot water.

We liked the Placki Bieszczadskie so much that we had them two nights running. They’re freshly made and cooked just right. The setting is humble and the price is fairly high compared with other places, but paired with a microbrewery APA, they made a perfect finish to a day of hiking or sightseeing.
