The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was phenomenal. The room was clean, roomy, and nicely decorated. Maybe a little expensive, but it was a great place to stay in Warsaw.

We had to wait around 20 minutes for breakfast despite having an appointment, and the meal itself was ordinary, with little to choose from. For the price, I expected more. The rooms have an interesting style and a lovely atmosphere, and the location is great, close to everything.

The parking is awful, with spaces poorly marked, especially if you arrive at night. Breakfast was poor too. There are so many pointless knick-knacks in the rooms that it’s hard to find space for your things. The room lock sticks, and the owner says that’s part of its historic charm.

The staff were friendly and clearly tried their best. Bathrobes, water every day, air conditioning, and the location were positives. But the place fell far short of what the online pictures and prices led me to expect. The entire complex was a construction site, wrapped in scaffolding and tarpaulins. Noise started at 7:00 AM, and on one occasion there was dust as early as 4:00 AM. My first room cost 300 zł a night and was tiny. The toilet was tucked behind a closet door, while the sink and an unpartitioned shower were out in the room. That didn’t feel hygienic. There were a few hooks but no hangers, wardrobe, shelf, or bedside table, so there was nowhere for clothes or suitcases. When I asked, I was moved to a different room for 400 zł a night. It was a normal size, with a wardrobe, three hangers, and a separate bathroom. Still, it had no chairs, so two people had to sit on the bed. There was just one duvet, which is awkward for friends or family sharing a room and more suited to newlyweds. There was nowhere to put soap, the shower head holder was broken and couldn’t be adjusted, and the dirty drain didn’t let water run off properly. Both rooms had filthy toilets. The second room was nicely furnished, but nowhere near worth the price. It might interest microbiologists as a research site. Breakfast was a fixed plate with no choice: pre-baked rolls, bread, and baguette, plus scrambled eggs, vegetables, one kind of jam, butter, cheese, orange juice, coffee, or tea. I’d specifically asked for no sausage, but it was still served, and it took three attempts to get that corrected. You had to ask for a second cup of coffee or tea. The garden and restaurant are only open to guests when the premises aren’t being hired out for other things, such as events. Otherwise, guests are left out in the cold. I saw no qualified staff or professionalism, just improvisation and a focus on cash. I don’t understand why it’s called an apartment when it doesn’t meet the definition. Also watch the exchange rates used by the bank and hotel, because the difference can be significant.

We won’t return. It’s a tiny room, not an apartment, and we felt cheated by that. It’s nicely decorated, but there’s no view: the window can’t be opened and looks onto a courtyard used for parking. The nightclub noise was unbearable until 3:00 a.m. last night, with people running through the hallways. The light can’t be switched off, and the pretty wooden blinds still let light in. It’s already dawn at 4:00 a.m., and by 5:00 a.m. there were lots of voices in the parking lot. The bathroom is tiny and awkward to use. There’s a faucet hanging from the ceiling, which is absurd and makes it impossible to wash your face while looking in the mirror. There’s no ironing station, and the wine or champagne mentioned as available in the reservation wasn’t there. There are no services of any kind.
