Apartamenty Zgoda Warszawa by DeSilva

The best thing about Apartamenty Hotelowe Zgoda by DeSilva is its location in a great part of town. We have our own apartment in Warsaw, but booked here for New Year's Eve to enjoy the local festivities. When we arrived, the room smelled stale, musty, and dirty. Opening the windows didn't help, and it got too cold, so I raised it at the front desk. The man there was kind and offered another room. It smelled less, but still had an odor. Neither room was very clean: the carpets were filthy, and the bathroom had unexplained stains and hairs. We enjoyed the night out, but at 1am, after coming back, we decided it was too dirty to sleep in and checked out, taking a taxi home. We paid 494.10 pln for a room we couldn't stay in. The front desk guy did try to help by switching rooms, but the second was hardly better. I won't return or recommend this place to guests visiting us.

The location is really nice, with lots of good restaurants near the hotel, and the price is extremely low. The rooms are okay for what you pay, so it suits a weekend trip without a romantic focus or anyone planning to spend most of the day out of the room. The air conditioners don't work very well.

I’ve stayed here twice, including once in a room with a balcony. The rooms are clean and nicely equipped, with a small fridge in the ones that have a kitchen. They also leave tea, coffee, a couple of bottles of water, and sugar and salt, which is handy. Some rooms have a beautiful view of the Stalin building.

Suite 601 was spacious, and the place was surprisingly quiet for accommodation right in the city centre. We took the photos before leaving, so the room looks a bit messy ;-) The restaurant is on the small side, though, and finding a free table at breakfast can be a problem.
