Apartments Warsaw Pawia by Renters

WARNING, a rip-off. This company takes customers' money and doesn't help when something goes wrong. They won't replace uninhabitable housing, but keep the payment. Avoid booking apartments through them or doing business with them.

The company running this place is a mess, and I think the accommodation should be shut down. I wouldn't stay here again. I foolishly prepaid for a month, and the service was awful. In early September the room got so hot from the afternoon on that I couldn't stay in it. The security guards' area on the first floor had air conditioning, but guest rooms didn't even have fans. The room amenities were practically trash, cheap, and the place was extremely dirty. I couldn't get hold of the manager, and the security staff were very rude and didn't speak any English. Not every place in Warsaw is like this. I moved to accommodation at a similar price that was much more comfortable.

After checkout, I saw a message saying they'd charged me 65 PLN for supposedly stealing a pillow. I couldn't believe it. I contacted the company, and they said the cleaning company hadn't found the pillow and they were going to ask the coordinator for a report. A week later, nobody had called. Based on reviews of this pseudo-company, it seems to happen regularly. I changed my card because I was worried about being charged again. We'd booked last minute, and the photos looked just okay. Before arriving, I asked if early check-in was possible. The staff member said she'd check and call within 15 minutes, but didn't. Around 11:00 AM I asked again and got the same answer. I also asked if we could leave our luggage if the apartment wasn't ready, and the woman said that wouldn't be a problem while she checked on early check-in. We had made plans and were about to head there when a message came saying we couldn't even leave our bags. I told her that was a lie and that I'd review them for misleading a customer. They later tried to retaliate, but failed. Once we got into the apartment, we found a broken bathroom doorknob and broken power sockets. There were only two wine glasses for four people. On the way back after checkout, that charge for an allegedly stolen pillow appeared. It felt like revenge, but their attempt failed.

The host was aggressive, so be careful. The apartment you get isn't the one shown in the picture. The host insists it's the same because it has a table and a bed, but it still felt like dive bar standard. Booking.com didn't refund me after I filed a complaint.
