Chill Studio Apartment

For the price, it's pretty good. A handy place to stay the night if you're just passing through, and you can even cook in the kitchen. Quite good, really.

Coffee and tea were available, and the kitchen had useful equipment. Being close to the metro was another plus. But the place had only a table and three chairs for four people, and the fridge and toaster were dirty, with stale water sitting in the kettle. There was also a missing light bulb. We stayed the previous night at the apartment at 51 Bociania Street, and the stairwell had a horrible smell. Inside, the cleaning had been rushed: dirty floor, dust under the bed, and a grimy sofa.

On the eighth business day, after yet another call, someone finally picked up. I said I wanted my money back because I was fed up, and the woman hung up on me. They stopped answering again. I then asked whether I should contact the police station near their office and included the address. All of a sudden I got a message saying the deposit had been refunded, along with a request for my email so they could send confirmation. They made the transfer that day, one business day past the deadline, and I doubt they would have done it without my repeated chasing. I'm still waiting for it to reach my account. The deposit was PLN 500 per apartment, and I had rented three nights for one night, so PLN 1,500. They said it would be returned within 7 business days. The apartments were dirty and badly damaged, with battered furniture, walls, and doors, plus holes in the bedding and curtains. They still insisted on a deposit before handing over the keys. The woman on the phone said it would probably be refunded right after the weekend, but after checkout I heard nothing about any damage or whether I'd get the full amount back. When I asked, I just got the same line about the 7 business days. On the seventh business day, my calls went unanswered, so I wrote on Booking.com to ask if I should go to the police. They replied at 3:26 PM saying the transfer WOULD be processed, though it was already clear they wouldn't meet the deadline. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

The apartment was filthy and smelled bad. There was dirt and dust everywhere, the bathtub was greasy, and the walls, cupboards, and doors were all dirty. The balcony windows were coming off their hinges, and the towels smelled musty. They refused to replace them. I couldn't get hold of anyone for a while, and when I finally did, I got a snippy “No staff at 5:00 PM.” Don't expect a refund or any complaint to go anywhere. This feels like a scam, pure PATO-RENTAL.
