Chopin Boutique

I’d happily stay at Chopin Boutique hotel again when I’m in Warsaw. The room was very quiet, breakfast was good, and the staff were pleasant and efficient, even though reception is tiny. Prices felt reasonable too. What makes the place stand out is its character. The whole hotel has a Chopin theme, with artifacts in the lobby and hallways. Rooms have individual decor and names instead of numbers. There’s a small restaurant, they grow herbs, and they keep honeybees. Every evening, piano music, mostly Chopin’s, is played in the “Chopin salon.” I caught one of the concerts. It’s a short tram ride from the central railway station, next to the National Museum, and within walking distance of Nowy street’s shops and restaurants. It isn’t the most luxurious hotel, but it has soul and feels like a rare passion project that also works well as a hotel.

The staff were wonderful, and the breakfast was great. Rooms are all different, which gives the place a special feel. They roast their own coffee and try to run renewably, including by growing their own greens. Highly recommend.

Rather than room numbers, each room is named after someone, and the hotel is a good option not far from the Old Town. The breakfast is good, and they roast their own coffee. There’s an espresso machine too, though I never saw anyone use it, and none of us guests seemed to know how it worked. Bring your own hair conditioner, since they don’t provide it. Guests get a discount for the daily Chopin concert, but tickets still cost 70 zloty for a regular seat or 110 for VIP. For airport trips, the #175 bus is easy to take and can save money and be a more environmental option. You can buy tickets by credit card at machines on the bus or at the stops. A full fare is 4.40 zloty, half price for seniors over 70 and students under 27, at 2.20 zloty.

The breakfast stood out, made with high-quality ingredients and not generic or standardized. The rooms were beautiful and carefully thought through, with lots of attention to detail. I also really enjoyed the evening concert. Best regards from Greece.
