The location is the one thing this place has going for it. I stayed twice, and both rooms had serious problems. On the first trip in mid-April, the room was about 35°C, with no radiator or heater and no way to control the temperature. Reception said some rooms had underfloor heating that staff couldn't adjust. I slept with the window nearly all the way open, while a loud machine-like fan noise hummed behind the wall all night. No one at the desk knew what it was. In the other room, the radiators didn't work, so it got cold at night. The bathrooms in both rooms were damp and smelled bad, with peeling plaster. There was no soap and only one roll of the worst toilet paper. At 200 PLN a night, that feels like a joke. Some rooms apparently have working radiators and better conditions, but I definitely don't recommend staying here.

The reception team made a real difference for me. The women there were warm, helpful, and friendly, and it felt like respect went both ways. My room was spacious, tidy, and well-kept, with a clean bathroom. I also found it very quiet, which made the stay more comfortable. This was quite different from some earlier reviews: I saw no sign of a neglected room or cigarette smell. It's easy to get around from here, with bus stops, shops, and restaurants nearby. For the price, it was a peaceful, convenient stay with a decent standard. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for those things.

The room smelled awful when we arrived, so we had to open the windows straight away. Dust was left on the cabinets, the shower wouldn't close properly, and the beds were dirty and creaky enough to make sleeping difficult. The service was poor too. The staff could have been much more polite. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We stayed two nights, and the internet was practically unusable. The hostel advertises fast Wi-Fi on Booking.com and its own website, but it kept dropping out or disappearing altogether. Reception said availability could depend on how many people were online. I felt that advertising it this way misled customers. The room was a mess. There was dust on everything, stained curtains, and a terrace full of dirt, leaves, dust, and spilled stuff. The bathroom at least existed, but the toilet flush stuck, the sink was blocked, and a screw in the drain seemed to slow the water. The shower leaked all over, and the photos speak for themselves. The kettle was so rusty and covered in limescale that I didn't want to touch it. The mattresses were badly worn; the twin beds pushed together as a double felt like hammocks. We were told the elevator was broken and there might be no mugs because they'd run out. The lack of mugs turned out to be the least of it. The room had been upgraded because I was with my wife. We also had no toilet paper. When I said these were basic supplies a hostel should keep, the receptionist told me it was a hostel, not a hotel. The price didn't suggest that distinction. Whenever I asked for anything, I got answers like it was unavailable, gone, or there might be a problem. It was the first time I'd felt treated like an intruder at a hostel, and the first time I'd written such a detailed review. One more thing: on May 15th, the receptionist wore shorts that exposed part of her butt, which seemed well below any standard. My last stay here. I wouldn't recommend it.

At 7 a.m. on Sunday there was drilling and lawnmower noise. Overnight, the loud music didn't bother us, but motorcycles and cars roaring past around 2-3 a.m., along with people shouting, kept us awake. The place itself was in poor shape. The bathroom and shower were dirty, the shower head was tied with poison, the bedding seemed questionable, and the stained mattresses had a fitted sheet made from two small sheets. The decor was awful, and the windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them. The balcony was a mess with weeds growing on it. The elevator wasn't working, so luggage had to be carried up the stairs to the third floor. Staff weren't willing to cooperate, and basic things like glasses for coffee or tea weren't available.
