Hostel Chmielna 5 Rooms & Apartments

A room with six beds may leave you regretting your choice when you first arrive. But if you’re broke or in an emergency, it’s definitely a good place for you.

The building is a bit beat up and badly needs cosmetic repairs, but the location is great and the room was pretty spacious. I stayed in a semi-private, apartment-type room where two rooms shared a bathroom and kitchen. It wasn’t a bad setup.

The rooms were dirty, and the shared bathroom was really filthy and smelly. Service was very rude, and they refused to help me several times.

The location was the only good thing. The rooms and beds were terribly dirty, and I guess the hostel is never cleaned or disinfected. I got bedbugs here and took them home after my trip. They were everywhere, so I had to throw away all my clothes and luggage. The photos on Booking.com are fake. They don’t have those rooms or beds, and there’s no city view as listed. Customer service sucks, there’s no reception, and they treat you like a refugee instead of a guest or customer. This was the worst one-night hostel experience of my life. I cancelled the rest of my reservation, even knowing I wouldn’t get my money back, because I couldn’t take the torture anymore. There’s nothing positive about this hostel. I don’t recommend it to anyone. A nightmare, a terrible place. Anyone who stayed one night wouldn’t give it more than one star. I think the people giving five stars are their own people, or they ask someone to do it.
