Hotel Czerniewski

We left after about ten minutes and paid for another hotel ourselves. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, and the furniture looked old and worn. The hotel is beside a major road too, so don’t expect a quiet room. It’s hard to see how it got a three-star rating given the rooms and reception staff. A terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. We’d arrived late at night, exhausted after a day of travel, because the airline gave us vouchers when flight delays made us miss our connection. The desk attendant had to be woken so we could get inside, and the only entrance was through the car park gate. We asked for a single room with a double bed, but they took both our vouchers, for two rooms for one night, and gave us a room with two single beds. The receptionist was very rude and spoke no English. They didn’t even ask for ID at check-in, which already seemed like a bad sign.

A very basic hotel, but it was absolutely clean and tidy. There’s air conditioning in the public areas, though not in the guest rooms. The restaurant is nice and reasonably priced, with local dishes and lots of delicious pizza options.

We stayed for a week. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet, the prices were great, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. There’s good bus service into the city. A great place to stay!

The location suited me perfectly because it was a short distance from my company office. My room was clean, and breakfast was OK. The staff were very friendly and helped me sort out problems with the taxi driver.
