The room was on the small side, with just one towel per person, and it wasn’t very warm, so that’s why I’m giving four stars. Still, we had a pleasant stay. Service was good: even though we arrived late, check-in went quickly, breakfast was nice, and they brought us a hairdryer about half an hour after we noticed there wasn’t one in the room.

The worst part was how the staff handled basic requests. Room service, restaurant service, and the front desk all felt highly unprofessional. Staff seemed indifferent, and their English was limited, which fell far short of what international travelers need. When I paid, I asked for an invoice but was told to return the next day. I had to make a special trip to collect it, wasting time and adding to my frustration. Housekeeping also knocked on the door loudly and hurriedly, in a way that felt impolite and as if they were about to come in. A gentle, polite reminder would have been much better. I was in Warsaw on a business trip and first booked two nights through Trip.com. The room was clean and tidy and basically met my needs, so I added two more nights on the hotel's official website, for four nights in total. The location was acceptable and the facilities were fairly good, but I was uncomfortable to discover the Trip.com rate was nearly 50 Zloty more per night than the direct booking rate. It left me feeling deceived. There was no refrigerator in the room, which made it hard to keep the milk, ham, vegetables, and fruit I’d bought from spoiling, especially with the room temperature so high. I’m diabetic and need to keep my daily medication refrigerated, so not having a fridge also left me very uneasy. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends.

The lack of heat was the biggest problem. The room only had a constant stream of cold air that was almost impossible to adjust, like in other Ibis hotels. We tried switching rooms, but they were all the same. The location works reasonably well for getting to the airport by train, though not for the old town. The hotel has seen better days, with patchy walls, rough repairs, and worn mattresses as standard. It could still be a reasonable option if you find a special offer on the Accor website.

I booked one night at Ibis Budget for February 14-15, 2026, while traveling to Ukraine. The journey takes two full days, so I needed a stop where I could put my insulin in a proper fridge at a stable temperature around 4°C, and freeze my small refrigerant bags for the next day. A good thermos and cold packs can’t keep it cold for that long, and the insulin I use isn’t available in Ukraine. I regularly make this trip and have always had hotel reception staff help store it in a proper fridge. Mini fridges aren’t cold or stable enough. After a tiring day on the road, I spent an hour explaining that if the insulin spoiled, I could die. The receptionists said hotel policy didn’t allow medication in their fridges. I asked them to call the manager, and after doing so they repeated the same answer. They also kept saying it was a one-star hotel and asking what I expected. I expected them to act with some humanity. I arrived at 20:30, only two hours before this conversation. I asked if I could get a refund if I found another hotel that could help. They said to talk to the manager in the morning, but by then my insulin would already be spoiled. The manager refused a refund. At such short notice, I couldn’t find another option under 120 EUR, and I couldn’t afford that on top of losing the 70 EUR I’d paid Ibis Budget. I have to work six hours to earn that 70 EUR. So I stayed. Luckily it was -6 outside, and I managed by putting the refrigerant bags outside, then back in the thermos for a while, and repeating that. The mini fridge they gave me at reception was useless: the thermos didn’t fit, and without it the insulin would certainly spoil. I didn’t sleep that night, and had to travel the next day anyway. The room was dirty, dusty, and very uncomfortable, especially the shower and bed. The food was awful, and for 70 EUR they couldn’t provide even single-use slippers that cost cents. I wouldn’t care so much about those things if my insulin had been safe. Once insulin gets above 8°C, it can only be used for four weeks before it’s completely spoiled. If it freezes, it spoils straight away. I don’t know how long I’ll need to stay in Ukraine, and I rely entirely on the supplies I bring with me. I hope the managers of Ibis hotels Warsaw never have to live with a chronic disease where they could die within hours without medication, or travel to a war zone with medicine that needs to stay cold and isn’t available there. I’ll never stay at Ibis hotels again.

The door was the worst issue. It kept jamming, so we went to the lobby four times to get the key card replaced. Eventually they told us to push harder, and it became clear the door was broken and would only open with force, not with the card as it should. Around the hotel, construction had left no proper path for guests, and my shoes got muddy every time I went in or out. The room was poorly equipped too, with no minibar or slippers, and the bathroom didn’t even have proper shampoo and soap. It was a very unpleasant stay, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
