Jess Hotel & Spa Warsaw Old Town

Breakfast was good, and the waiter was very polite. He also made the omelet I asked for. That was about the only bright spot during my stay at Jess Hotel Warsaw from Oct 22-24. My first room was extremely noisy, and the hot water cut out while I was showering. They moved me, but the hot water failed again the next morning. I waited more than 45 minutes and still couldn't shower. A 10% discount on a future stay doesn't make up for the experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

You're right by the Old Town, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the bathroom was modern, clean, and had a strong shower. But the stay was rough in several ways. The mattress was far too soft, and the headboard and curtains were filthy. Noise carries through the building so clearly that I woke up whenever someone else's bathroom fan started. There was also a strong fried oil smell coming into the room, probably from the restaurant. The lift kept stopping and getting stuck. It had to be reset 3 times in the 4 times I used it over 2 nights, which would be a real problem for anyone with mobility issues or claustrophobia. There were no toiletries apart from Dove shower gel in a dispenser hanging in the shower, and the Wi-Fi barely worked.

The staff were kind and really helpful, and both the room and breakfast were nice. A clean, pleasant hotel right in the city center. I'd recommend it.

The location is the standout, just one step from the Old Town. Rooms are on the small side but still cozy enough, and clean. Breakfast was tasty too.
