Getting around Warsaw was easy from here, with good public transport close by and the city centre within a comfortable walk. The Old Town takes longer on foot if you enjoy a wander. The shared spaces and rooms had fun themed decor, which was a quirky touch, and checking in yourself was simple. They could help by phone if needed. I ran out of time to visit the museum of Polish life just opposite the hotel, though it looked really interesting. It was a great base for exploring the city.

The place was clean and the location was good. The bathroom, though, smelled of drains, and there was no hot water from either the shower or the tap. One night the radiator worked, the next it didn’t, so the room got cold. Getting up to the hostel meant climbing four flights of stairs in the dark, which felt dangerous. We had to use our phone torches. I also didn’t trust the lampshade above me to be safe. We barely spent any time at the hostel, so it did what we needed, but that’s about it.

The room had a fun, attractive design, and the shared bathroom and shower were easy enough to use. Breakfast was very basic, but did the job. We stayed two nights and managed fine, though collecting the key from a different location than the reception was a little complicated. We had no actual problems, but perhaps the key pickup system could be reconsidered for future guests. Otherwise, a decent place with a funky interior.

I didn’t stay longer than five minutes. There’s no separate entrance or reception, so to me this didn’t feel like a hotel. Hotels.com said my room would have a private bathroom, but it was shared. The place looked like a basement on the third floor, and the dirt and trash around made it seem that way, not the design. Book it if you want to feel like you’re in a horror movie.
