Mercure Warszawa Airport

I feel much better about the Mercure Warsaw than after my last disappointing stay. The renovated, higher-category room was modern, comfortable, and well furnished, and the front desk team was excellent at check-in and checkout. They were friendly and had everything ready. The location is still unbeatable, with a tram stop right outside for easy trips around the city. Housekeeping is where things fell short. There was hair and shampoo residue in the bathroom when I arrived, and during the stay they emptied the trash but didn't really clean. Long black hairs were still there afterward. The bed wasn't properly made either, with sheets slipping off the duvet and just tucked in. I had arranged a late checkout with reception but was interrupted before noon, so the front desk and floor staff weren't on the same page. Breakfast at 69 PLN felt overpriced for the selection and quality. There may be better value nearby. I really enjoyed the buffet at Arche hotel nearby before. Parking is still tight and expensive, especially for a larger vehicle. There's also outside parking, though it seems impractical in high or low temperatures. The “new” rooms are a massive step up, and reception is excellent, but housekeeping standards need to match the renovated space. There are still details to improve.

A handy spot for a short stay, close to the airport. My room was spacious and clean, and breakfast had plenty of variety, including lots of nibbles for vegetarian guests. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Across all my stays over the years, the dedicated staff have given really excellent customer service. The rooms are comfortable, the dining options are delicious, and public transport makes it convenient to get to the city centre.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The rooms are dark, the beds are far too soft and mediocre, and the pillows aren't much better. The bar was substandard, including the welcome drink for frequent travelers. My in-room welcome amenities were underwhelming, even though I visited twice in a row. Reception was only OK on the second visit and not great the first time, never above “OK.” I stayed twice in one week because it was roughly acceptable, I had no time to look for alternatives, and I had to connect through Warsaw twice. It's not too expensive or far from the airport, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are better options.
