P&O Apartments Konstruktorska

We stayed for a few days in apartment no. 170 on Konstruktorska Street 7, staircase F. It was offered as a replacement for another apartment on Konstruktorska Street 9 just a few days before we arrived, supposedly a very similar place from the same company. The photos showing a brown sofa, light wallpaper behind the bedroom bed, and dark gray curtains were mixed up across three different apartments. Apart from the address and PIN, the actual apartment didn’t match the photos, the booking description, or the emails. It was very worn, with missing items and damaged parts. The hobs and furniture hadn’t been washed, the microwave was sticky, there was dirt under the beds, the windows were badly smeared, and the living room lamp was dirty with dead insects inside. Some bulbs were out. The sink was clogged, its faucet moved in every direction, and there was mold in the shower. The washing machine smelled musty and remained smelly even after an empty 95-degree cycle with detergent. There was also a constant stale, damp, suffocating odor, mixed with what seemed like old cigarette smoke, coming from the walls, furniture, and upholstery. We aired the apartment out constantly, but couldn’t get rid of it. Nights were exhausting, so we spent as little time there as possible, staying out all day and returning late. They demanded a damage deposit upfront and wouldn’t provide the apartment details without it. Given its condition, that felt absurd. If it were luxurious and undamaged, I’d understand, but this felt like a mockery of guests. We photographed everything that was wrong or damaged so we wouldn’t be charged for repairs, and sent the pictures to the landlords. They didn’t seem bothered. When we reported issues, they were ignored or left unanswered. On the penultimate day, they offered us an early check-out or a 10% refund of the cleaning fee, as if to say to leave if we didn’t like it. They offered nothing else and didn’t see any fault on their side. We felt that attitude throughout. Booking.com gave us an 8-star rating, which I don’t understand, and we’re sorting that out with them. There seems to be only one 5-star review, and I can’t imagine it was for apartment 170. In short, filth, stench, and poor conditions, along with total indifference to the customer. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

The reception and maintenance teams are great, and the apartments are modern. Mordor has terrible parking, though.

Parking spaces are hard to find, and the place is expensive.
