Platinum Hotel & Residence Wilanów

The booking photos show big, nice beds with two pillows each, but when I got to the room there was just one pillow per bed. They wanted $20 for an extra pillow. The carpet was stained and dungeon-like. I told him I was leaving because I wasn’t paying $40 for two more pillows for my wife and me. Then he said I had to pay for parking, even though I’d only been parked a few minutes and wasn’t going ahead with the reservation. After we argued, he said my ticket would let me out for free. It didn’t, and I had to leave the lot alongside another car.

The room had little bugs, and the young man at reception was incredibly rude and dismissive. He had a terrible attitude toward every question or request. It’s also a long way from restaurants and the city, so you’ll need an Uber. I wouldn’t come back.

Breakfast was excellent, fresh and tasty, and the room price felt fair for the quality. I spent two nights here and found the room comfortable and clean, with a calm atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The area was quiet and suited me because I didn’t need to go to central Warsaw. The windows don’t open, so fresh air isn’t an option and you’re left with air conditioning. That worried me at first, and I considered changing hotels for night two, but I ended up feeling comfortable and stayed. Hotel parking costs extra, though I could always find a free spot within about 100 meters. I had a very good stay, with only a few small concerns.

I stayed for two nights and it was fine overall, though a few things could be better. No one from housekeeping stopped by to check supplies, even for basics like toilet paper, during my stay. Those little things matter. At check-in, the reception staff didn’t feel very welcoming, almost like I was bothering them. I’d also clearly requested a room with breakfast included, but that hadn’t been arranged properly, which was disappointing.
