Platinum Towers E-Apartments

The room was spacious and finished to a surprisingly high standard for the price, but the place still felt gross. I’m certain there were what looked like sperm stains on the living room couch and the bedroom door. The whole apartment had a nasty feel that lasted through my stay. I saw a lot of prostitutes getting rooms and bringing clients, and there were often chavs or gangsters around the building looking for a fight. The staff also seemed scummy. From what I hear, they keep money they’re supposed to return at the end of a stay. I’m sure this place is run by the mafia, or at least it feels that way, and that the prostitutes work with the hotel. I’ll stay in a real hotel next time.

The location was very convenient, and room 1610 on the 16th floor had an amazing view of the city centre. I think other rooms may not have the same view. We also had a huge balcony to sit on and enjoy it. The room had a modern white, silver, and purple design, with unusual details on the bed, chairs, columns, and bathroom items. Getting there was confusing. The room was in a different building from reception, and it was hard to find. The elevator only goes to the 15th floor, so I had to carry all my luggage up one floor. Reception closes at 11 or 12 at night, so you have to walk around then. They provided a kettle, cups, tea, and coffee, and there was free satellite TV with 800+ channels, though half didn’t work. But there was no refrigerator, bottled water, or even free WiFi. WiFi cost an additional 15zl per day. There was no phone to call reception either, so I had to use my own cell phone. The receptionist was rude and impolite when I checked in, and made no effort to hide how annoyed he was. We were lost and confused about where our room was, so I had to go back and ask. He rolled his eyes and looked at me like I was an idiot. What could I do when the rooms were in another building and my room was on the 16th floor, even though the elevator only goes to 15? I might stay again if I could get that same room with the city view.

The place was dirty and smelled rotten. They charged us twice, then demanded 100-200 pln as «insurance» for the room in case of dirt or damage, even though the place is already ruined. The staff wouldn’t refund the double charge and didn’t care that they’d given us a terrible room. Other guests said they were charged another 60 pln weeks later for the room key, with no refund. Scam, scam, scam. Stay away.

The room was awful: just a plastic chair, and the pipes made noise whenever I used the water. It was on the 16th floor, but the elevator only went up to 15. I arrived around 11 p.m. and was handed a map and keys at reception, then told to walk two streets away to the apartments instead of staying in the hotel. There were no signs or logos at the place, and it took me more than half an hour to find it. A disaster.
