Pokoje Sonaty

The apartment itself was good enough, so I don't understand the low rating. The phone contact felt a bit stiff. My main issue was parking: I was told it was available when I booked, then found out the day before leaving that it would cost 35 PLN and wasn't available anymore. Had I known when booking, I'm not sure I would have chosen this place. Parking is essential in Warsaw, and I might have found a cheaper option once accommodation and parking were both factored in. Still, I'll remember this for my next trip to the capital.

The information at booking was misleading. We expected a whole, beautiful apartment, but ended up sharing a small two-bedroom flat with other people. There was no real cleaning: everything was dirty when we arrived, and there were no blankets or towels. We couldn't reach the accommodation because the phone was always switched off.

The entrance is at the left corner when you're facing Zabka. Getting checked in was complicated. They didn't send the code until 3 p.m., and I got it only after asking, almost an hour after I arrived. You share the apartment with other people, and when I arrived, my room looked like it had been bombed, with three strangers sitting there. I first thought they were the cleaning staff. The bathroom and other facilities are shared too. It was clean and somewhat modern, but noisy on the street side. A little better than a hostel, but that's about it.

What a joke. The cleaner arrived half an hour before the end of our hotel day and started cleaning while the guests we'd placed in Pokoje Sonaty were still there. We had paid to use the apartment until 11, so surely we should have been able to use it freely until then. Instead, at 10:30, the guests were already in the cleaner's way. I definitely don't recommend this if you expect to get what you paid for. A complete failure.
