Residence St. Andrew's Palace

The location was good once I found the apartment, but getting in at 3 pm was really difficult. I had to walk a couple of streets to leave my luggage, then wait because the staff member was missing when I came back. The bathroom was constantly being used, so I couldn’t get in when I needed to. The apartment itself was okay, a bit cold, short on power outlets, and felt a little strange.

The towels were worn out and full of holes, and there was no hairdryer even though the apartment description listed one. We booked for three people but got only one blanket for the double bed. They’d also said the beds could be separated, which wasn’t true. We asked twice for a third blanket and never got it. Definitely not a four star place, and I can’t recommend it.

The neighborhood is lovely, with a pedestrian street outside and restaurants, shops, and transport just around the corner. The courtyard gate closes at 2200 hours, so it stays very quiet. We got a huge, cozy apartment for a very reasonable price, and the service was friendly and efficient. Some things let the room down: the mattresses were hard, the TV didn’t work, and the kitchen lacked plates and glasses. Still, it was a great experience and I’d highly recommend it.

We spent one night in a suite with our baby, and these apartments are great for traveling with little kids. The location is very central. The whole street was under construction during our visit, but thankfully there was no noise at night.
