Stay inn Hotel Warszawa

The noise made it hard to rest: we could hear a squeaky bed in the next room at night while other guests were apparently being intimate, and loud vacuuming woke us at seven in the morning. That capped off a frustrating three-day stay. Getting into our room was a problem from the start. The electronic handle wouldn't respond, so we waited about twenty minutes in the corridor after our journey. Once inside, the shower only ran ice-cold. Hot water came back an hour later, and nobody on staff apologized or seemed concerned. Breakfast was advertised as “fabulous,” but the selection was very limited and disappointing for about €20 per person. There wasn't even a lactose-free coffee option. Jam, honey, mustard, and ketchup came in little sachets, like at a budget B&B. When I asked for gluten-free bread, the staff didn't understand because their English was so poor, and they didn't seem interested in helping. With the service, basic comfort, and noise all falling short, this was thoroughly unpleasant and nowhere near the hotel's advertised standards. At €280 per night, it wasn't worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing or professional experience.

The restaurant and its staff were absolutely friendly and professional, and the food was delicious, especially at dinner. That's why I'm giving two stars for service instead of zero. Reception was another story. I asked them to amend my invoice as my company requested, but they said they couldn't. They also couldn't issue a credit note and a replacement invoice. Instead of completing the booking preauthorization, the receptionist charged my card a DIFFERENT HIGHER AMOUNT, 10% of the booking amount. The preauthorization is still blocked in my account a month later. When I asked her to reverse the charge and finish the preauthorization, she got confused and said she couldn't promise the same amount would come back. Another red flag: they replied that they'd corrected my invoice, but they never did. 🫠 The bathroom's electric towel rail never worked. When I called reception, they told me to PLUG IT IN and giggled. Very funny service. Highly not recommended for a business trip. Save yourself some nerves and book somewhere else, you don't need this extra stress while traveling for work.

The staff were nice, and it's handy to have a parking lot available. The bathroom was comfortable, too. The TV kept cutting out, though, with channels breaking up a lot. The cakes were dry and not very tasty, and the weak heater left the room a bit cold.

A very modern, exceptionally clean place near the airport, and one of the best options in Warsaw in my view. There's a pool and sauna, too, all for a very reasonable price. Staff were good overall, though there's still some room for improvement.
