After a 40-hour journey and two sleepless nights, this was not what I needed. The entrance wasn’t obvious, and I had to ask at another hotel how to find it. Reception is in one of the rooms, and the staff were friendly. My room smelled nice, but the rest was awful. The pictures showed proper beds, but I got a sofa-bed, which was a nightmare with my back issues after all that travel. There were crumbs on the floor, black smears on the furniture and switches, and the toilet seat was so dirty I cleaned it with an equally dirty towel. A bottle of window cleaner had been left above the toilet, and I wished someone had actually used it on the surfaces. There was hair on the bed too. My husband booked it for me based on photos and reviews, but what I found didn’t match either. I was too exhausted to argue, ask for another room, or look for somewhere else. I checked the pillow for more hair, found it, and lay down fully dressed, hoping at least the sheets had been changed since the last guest. Still, it’s better than sleeping on a bus, right?

The restaurant is worth a visit. The seasonal menu was tasty and reasonably priced, with a steak main course around £14. The hotel and the district were very clean, and there were loads of shops on the ground floor. Our suite on the 10th floor was beautiful. A new hotel was going up next door, but the insulation kept the construction noise out.

To the owners of apartments #2015: accepting tenants who party until morning every weekend could seriously hurt your business. As the landlord, you’re responsible for the people causing chaos, letting minors into the apartments, and using drugs.

We had a great holiday here. It’s a small, cozy place with what a couple needs, and taxis can get you around easily for 15-20 zl'. The staff are really welcoming and nice, though they mostly speak Polish. A lovely weekend stay.

The rooms felt fresh and new, and having a kitchenette was handy for preparing food or chilling drinks. There’s a mini market around the corner, plus a little bar where you can eat. I also appreciated the work table and decent office chairs. Breakfast at the restaurant on the 1st floor was good. Check-in is in room 103 on the 1st floor, which is fine once you know where to go. There’s a balloon with seats, including if you want to smoke. I recommend Residence Vola.
