Wilanow House - Hostel

I stayed here for six weeks and had a great experience. The rooms were spacious and good, and the receptionists and cleaning staff were very kind. Even though we didn't speak Polish, they tried to use English or did their best to understand and communicate with us.

The deposit still hadn't been returned a month and a half after I left, despite the contract saying it would be refunded within 21 days. Cleanliness was poor too: the curtains and carpets were dusty and very dirty. Although the contract sets a curfew, nobody enforced it when my neighbors made noise until 5 in the morning, and management did nothing. I also didn't feel safe, since people could enter the hotel without being checked, and food was stolen from the refrigerator. The location wasn't convenient for me, with no metro nearby and a 10-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. The price doesn't make sense when you can rent a room in the city center for the same amount. I really don't recommend this place.

I spent two months at the hotel and felt at home from the start. The staff were lovely to my whole group and helped whenever we needed anything. It was the best experience of my life. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Warsaw. Whether you're coming for a longer stay or just some time in the city, I say go for it.

This felt more like a hostel or dorm than a hotel. It's apparently meant for students, though that wasn't advertised, so expect loud neighbors at all hours and walls and doors that let every sound through. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, the bathroom sink leaked, and there wasn't even a hair dryer. I understand it's affordable, but I'd avoid it.
