Wilanow Residence Apartments

We paid around 1200 PLN for two nights, and the conditions were embarrassing. The place was advertised as a hotel, but it was really an ordinary apartment, which felt misleading. Parking was listed at 45 PLN per night on Booking, but we were charged 55 PLN. The so-called Deluxe room was small, had no city view, and its window couldn’t be opened. It was filthy too: hair on the sheets, dust all over the TV remote, a dirty bathroom door, rust on the floor, and a strong moldy smell. The TV didn’t work either. We had to get through our first night like that, which was a nightmare. Getting help was almost impossible. I called six times before anyone answered. In the morning I asked to move rooms and was told no. Booking had to step in before they changed it, and the bathroom in the new room still had rust. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Warsaw has much cleaner and better options for a similar price. Edit: We reached an agreement after posting the review and got some of our money back, so I’ve raised the rating from 1 star to 2.

The room was clean and practical, though you can’t open the window. The best part was breakfast, really tasty and with a good variety.

The area felt new and pleasant, with Žabka and Biedronka very close by. There’s a bistro in the next building, and Viljanów Palace is about 2 km away, an easy walk. You can also find street parking nearby, though the car park directly under the hotel costs 45 zlotys a day. There’s an elevator and a shared room on the ground floor. The apartment was clean, tidy, and clearly new, with everything I needed. The kitchenette had a stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, and basic utensils. I’d bring salt, pepper, and paper towels or napkins. Check-in was contactless and pretty convenient. The day before, I got a message with directions, my room number, and details about the key and code. It warned us not to rely on the numbers in the floor lobbies, since they don’t match the actual room numbers. That huge, lovely window takes up the whole wall, but it won’t open even a little. We really wanted fresh air, and the room felt stuffy, even in April when the weather wasn’t great. The heating couldn’t be adjusted either. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the pillows kept falling off.

I stayed for 3 days and liked this beautiful place.
