We’ve been coming to Karczma for about seven years, and the food is always delicious. It’s high-quality traditional polish cuisine, and the hospitality is great. The garden is beautiful and full of surprises, with a grill, ponds, a playground, and a romantic bower. It’s lovely for kids and group parties, and the spa area is very comfortable. The place has antique furnishings and thoughtful decor that give it a special, lived-in feel. It’s tucked away in a quiet cottage surrounded by nature, beside a small river, but still only a 15-minute ride from the Wroclaw Airport. With the atmosphere, food, and facilities, it works well for groups, weddings, birthdays, trips for one or two, and city breaks. It’s impossible not to love this hotel and restaurant.

It’s very quiet outside, which suited us, since the hotel is a bit farther out. The staff were kind and helpful, and dinner and breakfast came quickly. The hotel has an old, rustic feel. Our room was a little small, but still okay.

The Golonka is amazing, so tender it melts in your mouth. The restaurant serves authentic dishes, with lovely ambiance and excellent service. A hidden gem, I’ll have to come back and try more.

The food was good when I went with my friends, and the restaurant was okay overall. But there’s nothing vegan or even strictly vegetarian on the menu. Even the pierogi come with lard. The interior seems made for hunters and families who love tradition. I wouldn’t be surprised if they served a whole pig with an apple in its mouth for special occasions.

I liked both the very good mushroom soup and the bread bowl it came in, so you can enjoy the soup with the bread too. The restaurant isn’t far from the airport, but it can be hard to find. It’s popular and gets crowded, so booking a seat ahead is a good idea.
