There’s plenty of space, and the rooms are spotless and thoughtfully designed. The mini kitchenette is a real plus, with a fridge, sink, and the basics for a comfortable night and morning. The location puts you right in the heart of Wrocław’s Old Town, which I loved. You can hear people walking and talking in the hallway through the door, though. That was the only little drawback.
On the second day, a technician came into the apartment without warning while my wife was leaving the bathroom. She was covered, and the technician behaved appropriately, but it was a major interruption to our peace. The manager said they had mistakenly thought the apartment was unoccupied, and offered late checkout instead of compensation. This was an unannounced one-hour technical visit, not someone quickly coming in to change towels. The residence management failed us that day. The apartment looks nice, the building and indoor areas are modern, the location is very good, and the staff were kind and spoke English. Check-in was at a desk a three-minute walk away, and online check-in would have been better. The staff were responsive when contacted, but that didn’t make up for how the management handled things. There was dust and cobwebs around, which may explain why the manager thought no one was staying there. The amenities weren’t especially high standard either: no coffee machine, just a kettle and two types of instant coffee. Towels and sheets were provided. One shower gel bottle didn’t work, and couldn’t be removed from its wall holder to pour out. The downstairs bedroom door was very hard to close. Only the downstairs bedroom had a door. The upstairs one was open to the mezzanine, so there was no way to block the light from the main room. The district and property are good, but the service and management make “prestige” a hard word to apply to this apartment.
I found it quiet and roomy, with a cozy, modern style and thoughtful design. There were useful things like cutlery, mugs, glasses, a pan, salt, sugar, tea, and more. It’s easy to explore on foot, with the main sights and amenities a short walk away. Comfortable and convenient, with a bit of style.
The best thing was stepping outside and being able to explore town so easily. The square, cathedral, and Rathaus are just around the corner, and there are plenty of good restaurants on the opposite street. We parked at Bulvary Parking, the closest garage, and it felt safe and secure. Check-in is at reception in another hotel on the way to this one. The hotel itself was modern and comfortable, and the soft pull-out couch made for a great night’s sleep.
The bathroom really takes away from the stay. It’s poorly maintained and looks like it hasn’t been renovated in years, with no ventilation, so it always feels damp and musty. The rest of the apartment is decent enough, but at this rent I expected more.
