Shick Hostel & Apartments

We had a really positive stay, and the staff were great at making guests feel comfortable. It felt safe for us with children, and the hotel was lovely and warm even in winter. There's a full kitchen downstairs and a kitchenette on the floor, plus a shower with hot water. A supermarket is in the next building, and the Altstadt attractions are just across the road. I liked it a lot.

The rooms were clean, and the main square is only a few minutes away on foot. The bathrooms could really use refreshing. Street noise was bearable with the window shut, and having AC was a big plus.

For such a cheap room, it was okay, and we hadn't expected much. The location was fantastic, under a 10-minute walk from the city center. The two of us had a whole six-bed room, with plenty of space and even a sofa. Air conditioning worked very well, and there were windows for ventilation. The hostel was dated but clean. Picking up the key at another building was inconvenient, though it worked out without problems. There was only one bathroom per floor, but with few other guests that wasn't an issue. Some beds were broken, and the mattresses were just thin toppers, which made them very uncomfortable. I wouldn't have slept in one if a heavy person had been on the bunk above me.
