The room was big, clean, and had twin beds, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. But there was no heat, and the blankets were thin with a flimsy pillow. Two outlets were occupied by lamps, so I had to choose between having light and charging my devices. The stairway was filthy, with a roach in the corner. The toilet and shower were shared with anyone who had a key, and apparently those people could open our room door too. There was no English. When I tried to order from the very limited dinner menu, I was told it would take an hour. I wish they’d mentioned that at check-in, since we then had to drive somewhere else. The price was 220 zt, which I think is more than on Booking.com or other sites.

Really dirty place.

The rooms were too small and not clean. The mattresses weren’t good, the faucet was broken, and there wasn’t even a closet or coat rack. There’s no receptionist at night, and it’s outside the village. It feels like a place from another era. They have four hotels, two in Zagan, and the other one is much better. They’ve put a lot of effort into that one.

They moved my booking here from the hotel I’d originally reserved, and only told me on the day I arrived. The windows and sills were dirty, and there was no toilet paper in the room or bathroom. I had to ask for it, and it only showed up the next day. Even though Germany is close, the TV had only Polish channels. The staff spoke no German and only limited, poor English. They advertise a restaurant, but the food came from the main hotel after we’d prepaid. That was fine for my salad, which was very good, but I think it would have been a problem with hot food. Breakfast was good too, except the rolls on day two had clearly been left out overnight. After this, I won’t book at Villa Nova or Villa Park again.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The gate was locked at night. We’d been expecting to stay at Villa Park, but found out on arrival day that we’d be at Villa Nowa instead. That turned out for the best. Our room was clean and tidy, as was the bathroom. The main light in there was very dim, though, and the shower faucet was fitted upside down. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty. Villa Nova is a much better choice than Villa Park.
