Apartament Królewski – Zakopane

Several trails are within walking distance, and the bus stop is just 5 minutes away for getting to farther places. After a hike, or instead of one :), you can relax on the terrace loungers, use the hammock hooks, or enjoy the private sauna in your room. Clean, quiet, and pleasant. A great base for mountain trips with friends or family with little ones. Highly recommend!

The pool is just 10 seconds away on foot, so you can get there in your bathrobes. There’s a sauna and jacuzzi by the pool too. We also liked the large playground at the resort, which is handy for younger and older kids even in winter. The little garden playground is big as well. Our children used it only once, but in warmer weather it would give parents a quiet moment for coffee. The apartment was clean and spacious, and well worth the price. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a dishwasher that was a big plus. There’s a washing machine in the bathroom, useful with small children, as well as a hairdryer and straightener. The sauna was a great addition for warming up in the evenings. Both the bedroom bed and living room sofa bed were comfortable. Contact with Ania, the owner, and Ola, the caretaker, was seamless. We highly recommend the apartment. I hope this helps the next vacationer decide. We were parents with two children, a 7-year-old son and an almost-one-year-old daughter. I think it would also suit couples without children, and the fireplace in the living room makes it romantic.

We got no sleep because there was a party upstairs that went on until morning. The owner ignored our calls, then two days later insisted there had been no party, saying the lack of signs by then proved it. It was a circus. I had a six-hour drive that morning while exhausted. When I asked for compensation, she called me a money grabber. If you're planning mountain hikes around Zakopane and need somewhere to recover, this apartment isn't it. For this price, there are quieter, better equipped places with staff who care about your comfort.

We had agreed by phone that the rental company would reserve our chosen dates. A few hours later, they said someone else had already booked them, apparently for more money, and our agreement was no longer valid. My wife and I tried to sort it out, but they stopped taking our calls as if that settled things. We'd booked time off work and were about to pay the deposit when we found out our trip was cancelled because they hadn't made the reservation as promised. I don't recommend them.
