River Park

The location was great, and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay with our two children in the four-person premium chalet. It was very clean, though there were a few minor plumbing issues in the room. We’ll definitely go back.

Beware, this felt like a tourist trap. The place was extremely dirty, and there were bed bugs. When we challenged them about it, they wouldn’t refund the four nights we’d paid for, even though we stayed only one night. We were a family of four and ended up sleeping in the car. Avoid!

The tree houses are a decent idea, and the house itself was clean and cosy. There isn’t much to keep children entertained, though. There’s a river nearby, but it’s shallow and has a very fast current. We were unlucky with noise and fireworks on the beach all night, so bring earplugs if you want a good sleep. Still, a holiday here isn’t a bad choice.

The location is the only good thing. We rented an A-style cottage for two adults and two kids, but it was impossible to breathe inside, so we all slept outside in the car. The dust made my youngest son and my husband feel like they were suffocating, and my son needed Ventolin. The beds were dusty and full of mites, and we all started scratching after trying to lie down. The sheets were dirty too. It was awful. In the morning, I raised the problem with the staff. They said we could leave if we didn’t like it and contact Booking for a refund. Now they aren’t answering Booking. Don’t go there, it’s a tourist trap!
