Scandinavia Zator, an Ascend Collection Resort

It looks nice from the outside, but the service was a nightmare. We spent three nights with a broken door lock that was never fixed. Housekeeping was late, and the manager wasn’t apologetic. The reception staff were polite but didn’t help. I felt unsafe the whole time, especially with my child, and paying in advance gave me no peace of mind. Update after their response: nothing was done. They’re just refusing to acknowledge their mistake and mismanagement. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Breakfast looked like it had variety, but it was a letdown: the juice was very diluted, pancakes were the only sweet choice, the pre-cut vegetables had dried edges, and the fruit selection was just watermelon, pineapple, and orange. For what we paid, we expected better organization and more comfort. We spent one night in Room C2 at Scandinavia Resort, three people for 209 euros with breakfast. It was good that our dog stayed without an extra fee, and the parking lot is spacious. Getting checked in meant crossing the street to another hotel's reception, which was awkward when arriving late. There was no outdoor lighting by our building, so we used a phone flashlight to find the room. The cabin is compact and has two floors. Downstairs there’s a bathroom with a shower, two sofas, a TV, a mini fridge, and a safe. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles, but neither has a TV. Some details made the layout uncomfortable: opening the bathroom door puts a mirror right opposite it, reflecting the shower area, and the shampoo and shower gel were left on the sink, far from the shower. The double bedroom door also creaked loudly, making it hard to move around quietly at night. Small and compact, but at this price it didn't feel worth it, especially with those practical comfort issues.

We spent two nights here on our way to Energylandia and would definitely come back. The restaurant food was top class, tasty and nicely presented, and the pasta was properly al dente. Breakfast was great too. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff friendly, and the resort grounds looked attractive and tidy. It seems suited to all sorts of guests, from families with children of any age to young people, friends, and older visitors.

We had two days at Energylandia and this was an ideal base. We walked back from the park the first day, a pleasant half-hour walk, then used the free bus transport the next day. The staff were so helpful that, after our taxi cancelled, they arranged to take us to the station themselves. We really appreciated that service. Our container apartment was modern, spotless, and a fun place to stay. The whole resort was clean and had a great feel, and we enjoyed the restaurant food, beach, and spa area. Breakfast was included and suited our needs. This is some of the best accommodation we've stayed in. The only thing I'd add is a kettle in the accommodation so we could make tea or coffee. Thanks for a great stay, we'd definitely recommend it, especially for a visit to Energylandia.
