Breakfast was the one good part: there was a wide choice of dishes. That couldn't make up for the rest of the stay, though. The building is old and unpleasant, with dated interiors and carpets by reception. I was given a literal metal key, which surprised me, then found there was no lift and had to carry my luggage up to the fifth floor. It was awful. The room door looked very cheap and old, and inside the decor and furniture were badly outdated. A dormer window sat right above the bed. The shower and toilet renovation looked so old that I laughed hysterically. There was no shampoo or shower gel, just a piece of soap. I wouldn't recommend this place. Renovating, replacing the furniture, and hiring someone to help with luggage, even for a fee, could improve things.

The price fits the quality, and the place is clean and cozy, though it's a pretty average provincial hotel. With few other options in Zgorzelec, I'd suggest it if you can't find something better. The staff lose a point from me: we checked out about 20 minutes late. Nothing serious happened, but reception still pointed it out in a friendly way. I don't see why, especially when others were handing in their keys at the same time.

It's warm, the rooms are clean and cozy, and there is free parking at both the front and back. The hotel is close to the German border. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Coffee and tea are available downstairs by reception, which is handy, though having them in the room would be even nicer.

The beds were far too soft for me, which was a downside. The rooms are quite dated and the whole hotel could use a refresh. Food was okay, coffee less so. Most things were more or less fine, but nothing stood out.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the spacious room had nice amenities. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions. I had a memorable stay and felt the experience went beyond what I expected.
