The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, and the hotel was very clean. But it was far too noisy to relax. The doors barely block sound, so we could hear people chatting in the hall and going up and down the stairs. The owner keeps two cockatiels at reception, and their loud chirping and screeching went on from 7am until 10pm. We complained and offered suggestions, but the staff seemed too afraid to pass them along. Our sleep suffered throughout the week we were there.

I visit Zielona Gora regularly each month as a British doctor, but I would not recommend staying here. Parties carried on until 2am without regard for guests, there were no restaurant hours, and the room phone did not work. The main issue was the owner, whom I found arrogant, racist, and unprofessional. He made several remarks about my religion, interrupted every conversation I had with staff, and called my vaping outside the hotel “f….g hell.” He needs to learn to behave like a responsible, professional owner.

A hidden gem, really relaxing, clean, and friendly. The beds were comfortable, the food was fantastic, and the owner and staff made us feel at home. One of my favorite places for sure.

I was impressed by the food first: the kitchen did a great job with soups, pasta, and meat dishes, and I’m particular about what I eat. The rooms were immaculate, the staff super friendly, and the place felt quiet and peaceful. I’ve traveled for years and stayed in countless hotels around the world as a recording artist, often visiting places most people haven’t heard of. Zielona góra Poland was new to me when I arrived in early August 2015, but HOTEL AMADEUS immediately felt special. The architectural details stood out too. The location works well, and the staff are friendly. I love the food here too. If there’s a room free, this will be my first choice in ZG.
