Gold Hotel

This hotel is awful. The lift is tiny for a seven-floor building, and I've never seen breakfasts this poor. There were no napkins on the tables, and when we asked for some, an employee started shouting that we couldn't take them with us. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

I've been to the restaurant many times before and always found the food great and the service excellent. You can put together your own sides in any combination. My favorite is the burger with Belgium fries and fresh sliced vegetables. I asked for an over-easy egg on top, and the server happily said no problem. Definitely recommend checking it out.

The restaurant serves fantastic food and great drinks, and the staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating. Camila and Karolina especially went the extra mile for us. The whole hotel looks fantastic after being renovated just a few years ago. I'd recommend an upper-floor room for the view of Wilcza Góra. We had a wonderful stay.

I'm local and live nearby. I'd known about the place but hadn't found time to visit until I went with my mum, and I was lucky enough to see my aunt too. The smoked paprika cream soup was poetic, with a taste I can't describe, and one of the most amazing soups I've ever had. My mum's burger was huge and really good, while the prices seemed fair for such big portions. That first visit, the restaurant area we sat in was clean and comfortable. I came back on 6 December 2024, after the renovated area had opened. I hadn't seen it before, but the new dark colors made the interior feel less cozy than I think it could be. I finished interior design, and to me, more gold could have suited the hotel's name and the old town. The colors do give it a kind of luxury feel. Our table wobbled, which didn't fit the restaurant's look, and the table layout could be better too. By the windows there wasn't enough space to get in or out of the restaurant. I ordered the smoked paprika cream soup again, but it wasn't the same as before. The waitress I remembered from my earlier visit didn't know the dish's correct name and twice called it tomato soup when we ordered the smoked paprika cream soup. The order was wrong, and I didn't accept the tomato soup. She should know the menu, and I don't think she should work there. The two soups look completely different in the photo. I was also very disappointed by the pistachio cheesecake. It looked amazing in the display, but when I tried it, it was dry and had no taste of real pistachio at all. My expectations for the flavor were completely let down. I was very disappointed.
